Boys & Girls Club of Vista Boys & Girls Club of Vista Vista, CA Vista, CA Part-time Part-time $18 an hour $18 an hour As a Lunchtime Activities Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to plan, organize, and supervise engaging activities during lunch breaks for employees or students.
Your goal is to create an enjoyable and productive lunchtime experience that promotes relaxation, social interaction, and personal well-being.
Responsibilities:

Develop a diverse range of lunchtime activities suitable for middle school students 2.
Coordinate with management and staff to understand preferences and requirements for lunchtime activities.
3.
Plan and schedule activities in advance, ensuring a balanced rotation of options.
4.
Create a calendar of activities and communicate it effectively to participants.
5.
Set up necessary equipment, materials, and spaces for activities.
6.
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during activities.
7.
Encourage active participation and engagement from individuals.
8.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social interaction and team building.
9.
Collaborate with other departments or teams to coordinate special events or themed activities.
10.
Evaluate the success of lunchtime activities and gather feedback from participants.
11.
Adjust activities based on feedback and preferences.
12.
Stay updated on current trends and ideas for lunchtime activities to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
13.
Maintain records of attendance, activity schedules, and other relevant documentation as required.
14.
Adhere to any specific policies or guidelines set by the organization regarding lunchtime activities.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Must be at least 18 and complete background, fingerprinting, etc.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Two years' experience in a youth development program preferred.
Previous experience in event planning, coordinating group activities, or working in a similar role is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and schedule activities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with participants of diverse backgrounds.
Creativity and the ability to develop engaging and innovative activities.
Knowledge of safety protocols and first aid procedures is beneficial.
Ability to adapt to different environments and work well under pressure.
Familiarity with technology and audio-visual equipment used for activities.
Passion for promoting well-being, socialization, and team building.
Advanced Math and English skills (K-8th grade), preferred.
Ability to implement quality programs for youth.
Bilingual Spanish preferred Boys & Girls Club alumni preferred Ability to motivate youth, provide positive re-direction, and manage emotional/behavioral issues.
Understanding of the BGCV philosophy, vision, and goals.
Experience working with at-risk youth.
Follow BGCV policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to sit or stand for four plus hours per day.
Must be able to stoop, bend, climb and walk frequently and lift up to 50 pounds.
