Senior Buyer SDC-52240

Nelson is seeking a contract-to-hire Senior Buyer for a client in the Irrigation industry located in North County San Diego.
This position reports to the Materials Manager and is responsible for the planning and purchasing of materials in a timely manner while adhering to the company's established policies and objectives.
Senior Buyer Essential duties:
o Securing and analyzing quotes; negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers o Source new and existing products o Review bids and proposals o Planning and forecasting inventory based on PY stats, inventory on hand and open PO's o Review and prepare PO's o Evaluate and implement cost cutting solutions for existing products without compromising quality o Track international freight o Coordinate activity between company and suppliers Senior Buyer Qualifications:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Proficient in Microsoft Excel - must be able to build and manipulate spreadsheets o BA or BS in Business, Materials Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred o 4+ years in purchasing or materials management role o Manufacturing environment experience preferred Please submit cover letter and resumes to email removed for consideration.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
