Job Summary: Support Staff function as a member of the interdisciplinary planning team to support clients with developmental disabilities. Support Staff implement curricula and directly deliver services designed to foster integrated work, community inclusion, and self-advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
& Must be Eighteen years of age.
& Preferred One year related work experience with disabled population or in other related field. Must posses a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to perform the essential functions required in the program design. Valid California drivers license, Ability to communicate well orally and/or in writing. Willingness to pursue any training and certification deemed necessary, including CPR, First Aid, Medications, and Restricted Health Care based upon the needs of the clients and the philosophy and goals of the company. Ability to obtain acceptable fingerprint/abuse index clearance. Ability to pass post offer medical examination to include drug screen and TB test.
& Assist in the development of functional skills consistent with the clients goals and objectives.
& Directly delivers individual and group learning experiences to assist clients served in obtaining his/her ISP/IPP objective(s).
& & Implement curricula which supports the clients achievement of his/her goals and objectives.
& Provide assistance with personal care for clients, which may include feeding, grooming, and toileting.
& Participates in client assessments, planning, and evaluation processes. Attends IPP/ISP meeting, if program requires. Assists clients in the development and implementation of his/her Service Plan.
& Maintains data regarding client progress.
& & Care and supervision of clients
& May be required to transport clients depending on program design and location.
& All staff will report to their immediate supervisor.
& Communicate all progress/needs concerning clients to supervisor.
& Comply with all federal, state, and/or local reporting and disclosure requirements while maintaining the confidentiality between the client and company employees.
& Adapts productively to change.
& & Report any observation or evidence of violations of any personal rights.
& Complies with all safe work practices minimizing risks of endangerment to the health, safety, and well-being of clients and self.
& & Assist with the facility upkeep through daily cleaning
& Other assignments that may need the employees expertise, knowledge, or ability.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
